This is how cumulative maize imports look for South Africa, with one week remaining for the 2015/16 marketing year.  Maize imports could end the marketing year off between 1.85mil t and 1.9mil t as shown in the graph below.  Imports for the week ending Apr 15^th came in at 53,649t with yellow maize, imported from Argentina, making up 98% or 52,319t whilst white maize made up the remainder or 1,330t from the U.S.  Exports for the same week ending came in at 14,555t with yellow maize making up 28% whilst white maize exports made up the rest or 10,505t.
